We've Got Mail!

The Village has done such amazing things with their sponsorship. We received your latest rounds of boxes. Once again your generosity is amazing. I passed them all out to the different organizations that work for me and asked them to take some pictures. Though I haven't received any back yet so when we get them I will send them over.  We are having our big 4th of July party today so I'll make sure to get some photos of the group and pass them along.

Thank you again and will chat soon

I can't say anything else other than wow. We are so grateful for the sponsorship and care packages. I need to get together and take some pictures because you have transformed our office into a winter wonderland. You would never be able to guess that our office is in Afghanistan and now right down the hallway from you.

On a personal level the generosity of every day citizens that have no idea who we are who come together to knit us hats, make care packages, and write letters. It is humbling. At the same time it really makes us want to work harder to achieve our mission knowing that the people back home support us.

Speaking of missions, we at the 451 Expeditionary Operations Support Squadron (EOSS) exist to ensure combat aircraft can arrive and depart to support the men and woman on the ground executing the combat mission. The end state for us is to get 80% of the population under the protection and control of the government while making sure the enemy reconciles with the government. We are also working to ensure free elections and supporting the train, advise, and assist mission here to make sure the Afghan military is capable of responding to conflicts within their country.

I'm going to go around the next couple of days and take pictures of the troops and our office area so you know the faces of the Airman and Contractors you are supporting.

Once again from the bottom of my heart thank you. Finally I would love to send some hand written thank you notes as well if you have some names/addresses I can write to.

Thank you again
Patrick
