Audiovisual Materials Policy

Audiovisual Materials including DVDs, music CDs, nooks, playaway views, audiobook CDs and audiobook playaways are available to patrons holding a library card in good standing. Patron must present Library Card when taking out these materials.

DVDs
  • Circulate for 7 days
  • Renewals are permitted
  • DVDs may be reserved
  • Overdue fines are $2 PER DAY per item for DVDs
  • Check out limit 3 DVDs/3 JDVDs
Playaway View
  • Circulate for 7 days
  • Can be renewed
  • Overdue fines are $2 per day
  • Check out limit 1
Audio Books CDs & Playaways
  • Circulate for 28 days
  • Overdue fines are 25¢ per day
  • Renewals are permitted
  • Audio books and CDs may be reserved
  • Check out Limit 4
Music CDs
  • Circulate for 14 days
  • Overdue fines are 25¢ per day
  • Renewals are permitted
  • Music CDs may be reserved
  • Check out Limit 4
Nook/Kindle
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Only 1 checkout per household
  • Cannot be renewed
  • Overdue fines $2 a day
YA Nook
  • Circulate for 14 days
  • Must be 13 years or older
  • Only 1 checkout per household
  • Cannot be renewed
  • Overdue fines $2 a day
Damaged Items
Audiovisual Materials are for private use only. They may not be copied or used for public showings or broadcasts. Patrons will be charged the cost of repair or replacement (plus processing fee) for materials damaged or lost while checked out to them.

Patrons are requested to report any damaged and/or lost items. Lost items are charged the full replacement value. The library is not responsible for any damage to patron’s audiovisual equipment.

Care Guidelines for Audiovisual Materials
  • Keep materials away from heat, never leave them in a hot car.
  • Keep materials away from food and drinks.
Failure to comply with this policy may result in the suspension of all borrowing privileges.
