Hot Cars and Chili Cookoff
Our Hot Cars and Chili Cookoff draws almost 100 classic cars each year. Each car competes for Participant’s Choice, Staff’s Choice, Mayor’s Choice and the Top North Palm Beach Resident Cart. While browsing the cars, jamming to live music, and enjoying a beverage or two, enjoy chili from our Chili Cookoff. Chili vendors compete for People’s Choice, Judge’s Choice, and Best Decorated. Do you think you have what it takes to compete for the hottest car and delicious chili? Registration starts mid-December each year.
Annual Book Sale
Every year, the North Palm Beach Library hosts its Annual Book Sale! Brows thousands of books from fiction, to DVDs, to children's books. This sale has it all! Become a Friends of the Library Member and get exclusive access to the Members-Only Pre-Sale. Get first pick on books you've been wanting to read.
Trivia Night
Join the North Palm Beach Parks and Recreation Department in February and later in May for a night of brain-busting Trivia! Bring lawn chairs, blankets, golf carts, and snacks and beverages for a fun night of community trivia. Pre-registration is a must as we assign spots on the lawn with your registration. Make sure to pre-register with us first, though, as we take a limited number of teams!
Movie in the Park
Join us for an evening Movie in the Park! Hosted every year at one of our beautiful facilities, bring the whole family and get ready to munch of some popcorn for a fun outdoor evening out.
Village-Wide Garage Sale
Find a treasure, or two, or three at our Village-Wide Garage Sale! Shoppers can literally find anything at this huge sale – even a kitchen sink! Over fifty individual garage sales come to one location for every garage sale buyer’s dream. Interested in being a garage sale vendor? Check back for registration starting in February.
Heritage Weekend
Two days of family friendly events at our Heritage Weekend! Starting with the Friday Night Heritage Kickoff, we provide inflatable madness fun along with a community Golf Cart Parade that NPB Residents can register for. Then, the next day, we have the Heritage Parade where sports teams, clubs, organizations, businesses, schools, and neighborhood groups walk through for another fun neighborhood parade. After, enjoy the Heritage Festival at Anchorage Park for carnival rides, games, live music, and more!
Resident Art Show
Visit the Village of North Palm Beach Resident Art Show! Every year, Village residents submit artwork for judging and their work is displayed at the North Palm Beach Library’s Obert Room for viewing. Then, we finish things off with the Art Show Awards Ceremony. Interested in submitting your work? Pick up an application and the North Palm Beach Library, or, submit an online application here.
Easter Bunny Fire Engine Visits
The Easter Bunny drives around the town on a fire truck for the Easter Bunny Fire Engine Visits! He will leave the fire station at 9:00 a.m. and visit every street in the Village. He will take a few hours, so to know when he’s coming to your street is to listen for his sirens or track his progress on Google Maps here.
Easter Weekend
The hunt is on! The egg hunt that is. Join us on Easter Weekend for the Flashlight Egg Hunt for ages eight (8) and older. Bring a flashlight with fresh batteries and something to stash your goodies in! Then, for ages zero (0) to seven (7), join the Annual Egg Hunt. The hunt will be divided into three sections: ages 0 – 2, 3 – 5, and 6 – 8. Parents can only help children in the under 2 and under 5 sections. Don’t forget to bring your own basket! And don’t forget to hop on over to meet the Easter bunny. In between, we also have our Easter Bunny Fire Engine Visit!
Earth Day
Join the Environmental Committee and Leisure Services Department at Anchorage Park for Earth Day. Bring plants for our plant swap. Meet fellow plant-keepers and exchange plants amongst each other. While you're hanging out, help us clean up our park with our Park Cleanup. Bringing the kids along? Have them join the kid's scavenger hunt. If they find all the plants around the park, they get a succulent as a prize! Additionally, the NPB Garden Club will be handing out trees to North Palm Beach Residents. See you there!
Garden Fest: An Arbor Day Celebration
In celebration of Arbor Day, Parks and Recreation and the Environmental Committee presents Garden Fest: An Arbor Day Celebration. We will be hosting our first annual bike parade and having a celebration at the community garden at Osborne Park, 705 Prosperity Farms Rd., North, Palm Beach, Florida, 33408. For those participating in the bike parade, please meet at 9:20 AM in the Osborne parking lot. The route is less than 1 mile and will take place on the west side of prosperity. Starting at 10 AM we will have various activities, including a kickball game for ages (ages 13+), radish tasting, face painting, a garden talk with a guest speaker, music from the North Palm Youth symphony, rock, painting provided by the NPB Library, as well as a tree raffle. We will also be cooking hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill. See you there!
July 4th Celebration
You and your family are invited to celebrate the Fourth of July with the Village of North Palm Beach and North Palm Beach Country Club. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and sit back and relax as you enjoy the fantastic fireworks display.
Anchorage Aweigh Fishing Tournament
Join the Anchorage Aweigh Fishing Tournament! This fun tournament is available to both youth and adults. Lines go in the water at 6:00 a.m. and weigh-in takes place at the Anchorage Park Marina from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Inshore anglers fish for trout, sheep’s head and snapper. Offshore anglers fish for king, dolphin, wahoo, mutton snapper and grouper. Compete for heaviest catch in both youth and adult divisions.
Touch-a-Truck and Fire Safety Fair
Join us for our Touch-a-Truck and Fire Safety Fair! Watch fire demonstrations and get hands-on with a variety of working trucks that make life possible in our modern world. Kids enjoy sitting in the driver’s seat of many different trucks and vehicles. The Fire Safety Fair offers a great opportunity to see the equipment firefighters use and meet the people who work hard to keep our city safe.
Cornhole Tournament
Join us for our annual North Palm Beach Cornhole Tournament! The day will be filled with food, drinks, music and fun-filled cornhole competition to crown three Champions over three divisions. A a High School doubles division, a Juniors Division, and an Open Blind draw event. Also, come meet some of our local National and World Champion ACL Pros for some great tips. You’ve seen them compete on ESPN, CBS and NBC!
Halloween Festival
Join us for our annual Halloween Festival. Walk through our themed haunted house and enjoy carnival games, food, music, and family fun for all to enjoy. Take a hay ride through the neighborhood to see the Halloween decorations, participate in the candy hunt, stop by the petting zoo, and compete in our annual costume contest, pumpkin carving contest, and pie eating contest. Pre-Registration required for the pie eating contest, limited spots available.
Links 5K Ghost Run
Sign up for our Links 5K Ghost Run! Wear your best Halloween running outfit and take your place in the costume contest! All finishers receive a unique collector’s medal and breakfast courtesy of Farmer’s Table. Don’t forget the Lil’ Goblin Gallop for kids under eight.
Arts and Crafts Fall Festival
Find a variety of holiday gifts, decorations and works of art at our Arts and Crafts Fall Festival. The craft show features 50 vendors with hand-crafted or embellished items. Have some crafts and items you hand-made and would like to sell? Let us know during the fall season so we can register you.
Veterans Day
Join us as we honor our veterans for our Veterans Day Ceremony. Join us in honoring those who served with our Veterans ceremony and the raising of the flag. Refreshments provided.
Tree Lighting Ceremony
Welcome the holiday season with the Village of North Palm Beach’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. Enjoy music performances by the North Palm Beach Youth Symphony, treats by the Friends of the North Palm Beach Library, and the official tree lighting with the Mayor. There will even be “snow” for the children to enjoy.
Santa’s Holiday Texts
We’re in modern times, and even Santa knows how to text! Santa will text your child and chat about their wish list with Santa's Holiday Texts. Complete a Latter to Santa Form and drop it into Santa’s Mailbox that can be found around North Palm Beach. One at Anchorage Park (603 Anchorage Drive), one at the North Palm Beach Library (303 Anchorage Drive), and one at the Community Center (1200 Prosperity Farms Road).
Santa’s Trolley Rides
Take the whole family to ride on Santa’s Trolley around the Village of North Palm Beach. Enjoy neighbors’ holiday lights and decorations. Then, step into the North Palm Beach Library’s Winter Wonderland and visit Santa! Treats and crafts will be provided by the Friends of the North Palm Beach Library.
Santa Fire Engine Visits
Santa drives through the neighborhood waving to all the little girls and boys with Santa's Fire Engine Visits! He'll leave the fire station at 9 a.m. and visit every street in the Village. It will likely take him a few hours, so the best way to know when he's coming near to your street is to listen for his sirens and come outside when you hear him approaching or track his whereabouts on Google maps here.
