Community Policing

Part of the North Palm Beach Police Department philosophy is to work in partnership with the community to solve problems and protect life and property. A major component of fulfilling this philosophy is to work to prevent crime from occurring and preventing citizens from becoming victims of crime.

As an educational and prevention arm of the Law Enforcement Division of the Department, Community Oriented Policing is the outreach that encourages citizen involvement with the police, because truly, working together is the manner in which we can accomplish the goal of preventing and deterring crime from occurring in the Village of North Palm Beach.

The objective of Community Oriented Policing is to
  • Provide crime prevention programs to the community that are designed to heighten citizens' awareness of crime
  • Educate citizens in areas that can reduce the chances of becoming a victim
  • Encouraging the community to work with the police to help reduce criminal activity in the Village
The Community Oriented Policing Division provides a variety of seminars and training programs with the goal of educating citizens of all ages in crime prevention and deterrent subject areas.
