Recreation Advisory Board


The Village Council is seeking volunteers for the Recreation Advisory Board. Applicants must be a Village resident. To apply for a Village Board, you may apply online, or download the application for appointment (PDF), or call or email the Clerk's office to have an application sent to you. Return your completed application and resume (optional) to the Clerk's office. The Council will conduct informal interviews with new applicants on a date to be determined. Applications will be accepted until positions are filled. If you have previously applied for appointment to an advisory board and wish to renew or update your application, please contact the Clerk's office by email or call 841-3355.

The Recreation Advisory Board consists of 5 members and 2 alternate members who are Village residents. Terms are 2 years for members and 1 year for alternates. Alternates have the duty to sit for any regular member that is absent and serve in the order they are designated (1st alternate, 2nd alternate).


The Recreation Advisory Board serves in an advisory capacity to the Village Council and makes recommendations for:

  • Capital improvements/facilities
  • Matters relating to the overall recreational activity of the Village other than its waterways
  • Planning
  • Present and future recreation activities
  • Recreation programs
The board also performs any other duties which may be assigned to it by the Village Council.
