In addition to the great rankings the Village has been given recently for its low crime rate, North Palm Beach has been listed again as one of the best places to live in Florida.

The website recently moved the Village to the number three spot after ranking it as the fifth best place to live last year. Homesnacks is a website that provides informal commentary about local communities throughout the country.

Using statistics from the U.S. Census Bureau and the FBI, the website analyzed 207 Florida cities with populations greater than 5,000. Data calculated in the ratings include median home values, median income, unemployment, education levels, commute times, crime, poverty rates and population density.

The Village scored a 9.5 out of 10 possible points in the Homesnacks rating system. Key Biscayne and Palm Beach each scored 10 points and were ranked as the number one and two best places to live in Florida.

For most residents, it's the small-town friendliness and convenient location that makes the Village a great place to live, but that's not something accounted for in government databases. The homesnacks report follows several other top rankings by various organizations that review crime statistics. Each rated the Village favorably because of the community’s low crime rate, which has dropped 38 percent in recent years.
