The Solid Waste Division is responsible for the collection and disposal of residential and commercial garbage, trash, bulk items, vegetation and recycling within the Village.
Holiday Trash Pickup Schedule
It’s a holiday week—so what does that mean for your trash pickup? During weeks with a Village-observed holiday, solid waste collection may run on an adjusted schedule. Check the holiday pickup calendar at the link below to stay on track and plan accordingly.
Regular Collection Schedule:
Materials must be placed by 7:00 a.m. on collection day. Do not follow the Village's Solid Waste schedule magnet, it is outdated.
- Monday - Garbage & vegetation
- Tuesday - Blue bin (glass, plastic, food & beverage cans recycling) and bulk. Make a bulk pickup appointment here
- Wednesday - Garbage & vegetation
- Thursday - Yellow bin (paper and cardboard recycling) and bulk. Please note that all cardboard boxes must be broken down for pickup. If you place flattened boxes inside another box, please be sure the outer box is placed curbside for collection. Make a bulk pickup appointment here .
- Friday - Garbage & vegetation
*Solid waste pickup service is designed to collect only the items that are placed in the designated waste containers. This means that any personal items left in the recycling bins or waste containers will also be collected and disposed of. The Village of North Palm Beach cannot be held liable for any personal items that are mistakenly placed in the recycling or waste containers and subsequently collected by our Solid Waste team.*
Hired workers
- Contractors and hired individuals for lawn and tree services are required to haul away any vegetation, branches, etc. that they trim. Vegetation debris can be left for pickup only if it was created by the homeowner or tenant.
- Building contractors and handymen are required to remove construction debris.

- Bulk Item - Item too large for garbage can, but two people could carry it to the curb (i.e. refrigerator, mattress, furniture, etc.)

Large Sheet Glass- Crews have a difficult time safely picking up plate glass larger than four feet wide or four feet long. Plate glass should be taped with several X patterns to reduce chances of shattering. Please respect the safety of our hard-working Solid Waste crews and give us a call if you need a special glass pick up.
