Competitive Swim Programs
Green Group
The Green Group is designed for beginners with no previous competitive swimming. The emphasis of this group is to learn the fundamentals of the freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly. This group meets Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for 30 minutes. Ages: 4 - 8
Orange Group
Designed also for the beginning swimmer that is more advanced than the Green Team. The emphasis of this group is to continue to work on the four strokes and the fundamentals that go with them. This group trains for 45 minutes a day, four times a week. Ages: 5 & Up
White Group
The first of the competitive developmental groups, members of this group will begin to compete in USA Swimming recognized events. Swimmers will be focusing on swimming 50 and 100, as well as swimming the 100 IM. Technique and Kicking are major component of this group. Ages: 6 - 10
Red Group
The Red Group is comprised of our Advanced 10 & Under swimmers. Swimmer’s in this group will begin to learn how to read a pace clock, how to pace for distance events and build their aerobic conditioning. Technique and kicking are emphasized each day. Swimmers in this group will compete in their first 200 IM and 500 Free. This groups trains for 1.5 hours a day, six times a week. Ages: 7 - 10
Blue Group
The Blue Group is designed for our 11-12 swimmers. Swimmers in the Blue Group will concentrate in increasing their aerobic conditioning as well as improving their technique and kicking. This group will concentrate on building a well-rounded age group swimmer. Competitive swimmers in the group will compete in their first 400 IM and mile. This group trains for 1.5 hours a day, six times a week. Ages: 11- 12
Gold Group
The Gold Group is designed for our 13-14 year old swimmers. The group will focus on the 200 of strokes as well as the 400 IM. IM training will be a big component of this group, as well as learning the relationship between stroke rate and stroke count. This group will continue to build on its aerobic and aerobic base. This group trains 2.5 hours a day, six times a week. Ages: 13-14
Senior Group
The senior group is our 15 & over programs. This groups concentrates on improving conditioning and strength in and out of the water. The groups goal is help swimmers achieve their highest potential in the sport. Swimmers in this group are working on qualifying for Senior Champs, Sectionals, and High School Regional and State Meet. This group trains 2 to 3 hours a day 6 to 9 times a week. Ages 15 - 18
National Development Group
The National Development group is the most advanced training group. This group does not have an age criteria, but in general we would like the swimmers to be at least 13 years of age. Swimmers in this group must have at least two sectional times. They must also be fully committed to the sport. This group will focus on all the fine points of the sport. The goal is to put all the lessons an ideas gather through our developmental groups into this one group. The goal for this group is to compete at the national level. This group trains 2 to 3 hours a day 8 to 9 times a week. Swimmers in the National Development group are expected at every practice. Ages 13 - College
