Document Submittal Guidelines

Please note:

  • Starting January 1, 2024, all new plans must comply with the 2023 FBC 8th Edition if submitted on or after that date.
  • Paper and physical permits will no longer be accepted. Please make all new submittals through our online portal.
  • All contractors are required to register on the new portal and provide their license and insurance information.
  • Payment methods accepted are checks or credit cards.
  • Business hours are 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Permits:

  • A copy of the recorded Notice of Commencement form is required for permits where the job valuation is greater than $5,000, except for Mechanical permits where the job valuation is greater than $15,000. Please see the Palm Beach County website for this form/submittal requirements.

Flood Zone Information

It is very important for you to know if your property is located in a flood zone. Elevation Certificates for building permits may be required on properties within the Special Flood Hazard Area. Copies of Elevation Certificates for insurance purposes as well as flood zone determinations are available upon request.
