[ARCHIVED] Agenda summary for Jan. 25 Council meeting

Here is a summary of the key issues the Village Council will address at their meeting on Thursday, Jan. 25 at 7 p.m. For more details, click the link at the bottom to access the full agenda package. 

The Council will: 

  • Consider approving the purchase of 12 Cisco network switches from SHI International at at an amount not to exceed $49,070. 
  • Consider approving a contract with Florida Sidewalk Solutions for repair of sidewalk trip hazards at an amount not to exceed $36,635.
  • Consider on first reading, amending a Village Ordinance to allow a second wall sign on the north side of the future Desano’s Pizzeria at 635 U.S. 1.
  • Consider on 2nd reading, approving Ordinance 2024-01, adopting Administrative Amendments to the 8th (2023) Edition of the Florida Building Code.
  • Consider on 2nd reading, regulations in Chapter 45 of the Village Code relating to the volume and massing of single-family dwellings, requiring additional setbacks for second stories, limiting the floor area of the second story, and prohibiting blank walls.
  • Consider approving a resolution announcing the date of the Village General Election, Annexation Referendum Election, and Run Off Election, if necessary; designating voting locations; requesting that the Supervisor of Elections conduct the Election; authorizing the Supervisor of Elections to certify the accuracy of the tabulation equipment and handle, certify and canvass all ballots, including absentee ballots; and designating the Canvassing Board.
  • Consider approving the purchase of 35 Dell laptop computers and related equipment at an amount not to exceed $77,151.
  • Consider increasing the Blanket Purchase Order with Flying Scot to $200,000 for sidewalk repair.
