Here is a summary of the key issues the Village Council will address at their meeting on Thursday, September 26 at 6 p.m. in Village Hall:
- Issue a proclamation recognizing Arbor Day.
- Issue a proclamation recognizing Florida Climate Week
- Consider approval of Parks and Recreation Department and Library Staff to accept donations of more than $25,000 for Parks and Recreation, and Library Programs, including support from the Friends of the Library.
- Consider approving a merit increase of 4.2 percent for the Village Clerk.
- Consider approval of an 11th Amendment to the Agreement for Grant Services with RMPK Funding for a total compensation not to exceed $20,000.
- Consider approving a Fiscal Year 2025 blanket purchase order for the Parks and Recreation Department and Library with Ani Con Services, for plumbing services in the amount of $40,000.
- Consider approving a blanket purchase order with Baker and Taylor in an amount not to exceed $71,013 for Library Books.
- Consider approving a blanket purchase order with OCLC, LLC in an amount not to exceed $29,000 for Village Library access to electronic books and audio books.
- Consider on 2nd reading, adopting a final ad-valorem tax millage rate and Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Village Budget.
- Consider on 1st reading, amending the Village Comprehensive Plan to implement its Evaluation and Appraisal Report and adding updates to each section.
- Consider accepting a proposal from Ferreira Construction for the Anchorage Park Boat Ramp replacement at a cost not to exceed $446,947.
- Consider approving the purchase of a new generator for the Public Works facility and a contract with Minuteman Electric for the installation of the generator at a cost of $14,000.
- Consider approving the purchase of four Chevrolet Tahoe Sport Utility Police Vehicles from Garber Chevrolet at a cost not to exceed $277,694.
- Consider approving a License Agreement with NPB Aquatic Group to use the Country Club pool for swim training activities.
- Consider approving a Second Amendment to the Contract for Building Department Services with C.A.P. Government, to increase the amount of compensation for Fiscal Year 2024 to $160,000.
- Discuss filling remaining vacancy and changing monthly meeting requirements for the Village Business Advisory Board.
