Here is a summary of the key issues the Village Council will address at their meeting on Thursday, June 13 at 7 p.m. in Village Hall:
- Transportation Infrastructure Proposal:
Council will consider approving changes to an agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation relating to replacement of the U.S. Highway 1 bridge over the Earman River. - Public Works Purchase Order:
Council will consider approving a blanket purchase order for the Public Works Department with Al Packer Ford in the amount of $50,000 for vehicle parts and repairs. - Golf Course Netting Proposal:
Council will consider a proposal from Action Sports Netting for the installation of golf course netting at the Country Club, at a cost of $48,564. - Public Works Purchase Order:
Council will consider approving a blanket purchase order for the Public Works Department with GT Supplies in the amount of $50,000 for dumpster parts and repairs. - Country Club Landscaping Purchase:
Council will consider approving a Blanket Purchase Order with Star Farms, LLC for the purchase of sod for the Country Club in the total amount of $50,000. - Country Club Sports Field Purchase:
Council will consider approving a Blanket Purchase Order with Florida Superior Sand for the purchase of 50/50 Sports Field Mix for the Country Club in the amount of $50,000. - Smoking Prohibition in Parks:
Council will consider on 1st reading, approving an ordinance to prohibit smoking in Village parks. - Legal Notices Posting:
Council will consider on 2nd reading the creation of an ordinance allowing the Village to post Legal Notices on a Palm Beach County webpage designated for Legal Notices, instead of publishing in local newspapers. Recent changes in Florida law now allow for posting the notices on the designated PBC page. - Community Services Proposal:
Council will consider a proposal by HMF Commerce to provide ice vending machine services at Anchorage Park. - Impact Fee Study Presentation:
Council will listen to a Village Manager presentation about an impact fee study. - Council Meeting Start Time:
Council will hold a discussion about the start time of Village Council meetings and whether a new start time should be considered.
