Here is a summary of the key issues the Village Council will address at their meeting on Thursday, August 14 at 7:00 p.m. in Village Hall:
- Hear a 2025 legislative session update from state Rep. Mike Caruso, District 87.
- Consider on second reading an ordinance to strengthen tree preservation rules for private property and swales.
- Vote on a resolution setting the application fee and Tree Trust Fund contributions for the Tree Preservation Ordinance.
- Consider on first reading an ordinance allowing each Village board and committee to elect its own chairperson annually.
- Consider purchasing 30 self-contained breathing apparatuses for the Fire Rescue Department at a cost of $662,816.
- Consider accepting a $203,044 bid from Boulder Construction for paving and drainage improvements on Riverside Road and Eastwind Drive.
- Consider a third amendment to the Village’s legal services agreement with Torcivia, Donlon, Goddeau & Rubin, P.A. to increase the hourly rate for Village Attorney services.
