1. Is the Public Works Department also the Building Department?

2. Where do I go to get a boat ramp sticker?

3. Is the Public Works Department responsible for water and sewer service?

No. For water and sewer service please call Seacoast Utility Authority at 561-627-2900.

4. Where do I obtain an application for employment?

5. What is the schedule for garbage, trash and recycling pickup?

As of July 2022:

Normal Collection Schedule:

• Monday - Garbage & vegetation Village-wide.
• Tuesday - Glass and plastic recycling pickup (blue bin), plus bulk items at single-family homes.
• Wednesday - Garbage & yard vegetation Village-wide.
• Thursday - Paper and cardboard recycling pickup (yellow bin), plus bulk items at multi-family homes.
• Friday - Garbage & yard vegetation Village-wide.

Holiday Collection
The service scheduled for the day on which the holiday is observed will be missed. All other collection days will remain the same as the normal collection schedule.

6. What is difference between trash and vegetation and/or what materials can be recycled?

7. When a holiday falls on a sanitation pickup day, when will my collection take place?

When a holiday falls on a sanitation pickup day, collection will take place on the next regularly scheduled pickup day for that type of item. For example, if yard vegetation was missed on a Monday holiday, it will be picked up on Wednesday.

8. Why was my dumpster not picked up?

There is likely an issue with your dumpster. A fluorescent green notification tag should have been affixed to the dumpster indicating the steps necessary to find out what the exact problem is. Please call the number on the tag for further information.

9. What items can be placed in my garbage cans or dumpster?

Household and/or commercial garbage (which must be bagged), trash and vegetation. The village will not pick up automotive parts - including tires, car batteries, engine blocks, gas tanks, etc. - nor hazardous materials - such as gasoline, lacquer, oil based paint, motor oil, etc. For disposal instruction and locations, contact the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County. 10. Can Public Works pick up my construction debris?

11. There is a streetlight in front of my house. Who takes care of these lights?

Some lights are owned by the Village and some are owned by Florida Power and Light. If you spot a streetlight out, please call the Public Works Department at 561-691-3440 and we will route it to the appropriate authority. Public Works Page

12. Can someone repair my sidewalk or pothole?

Please call Public Works at 561-691-3440 and report the nature of the problem.

13. A traffic sign is missing or knocked down or the signal is not working. Whom do I call?

For the most part, traffic signs within the Village limits are the responsibility of the Public Works Department. Palm Beach County and/or the Florida Department of Transportation are responsible for the signs and signal on county roadways or federal highways. These include Prosperity Farms Road, Northlake Boulevard, Alternate A1A and US Highway 1. Call the Public Works Department at 561-691-3440 and we will make sure the proper authority is notified.

14. I am interested in planting some trees in my swale area. How do I get permission to do so?

15. A sprinkler head is broken on public property who do I call to report it?

16. What days can I water for irrigation purposes?

Effective Saturday, March 26, 2011, landscape irrigation is prohibited between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on the days specified for even and odd numbers. 17. Tree branches are growing into power lines. What should I do?
